I came from a farming background in Mid Devon and became a full time thatcher in 1986. My work was of a sufficient standard that after some rigorous inspections, I was accepted into the Devon & Cornwall Master Thatchers Association. For a short while I was the representative on the National Council of Master Thatchers. I am an Affiliate Member of the National Society of Master Thatchers and a Member of the Devon & Cornwall Home Inspectors Association.
